Superior Overall Strength
The Cornelius oval pool design is superior to any other pool oval and here's why. Each oval is designed with a specially engineered bracing system to be the strongest oval pool available. The system begins with heavy duty steel straps which run underneath the pool to join the BUTTRESS BRACES on either side of the pool. The buttress braces are integrated into heavy steel bearing plates which run along the side of the pool. The bearing plates reach 8" up the wall and 1-" underneath the pool to provide a rigid wall. Not only is the wall rigid, it's straight and it forms a TRUE OVAL shape.
